I have a history degree from a small liberal college in a town that you have likely heard of when learning your states and capitals (for those Americans out there) but know nothing other than it is technically the capital.
I currently am working in tech. How did I go from getting a degree in history to working in tech? Good question, I got a job working as a summer temp job working support for a smartwatch maker. That got me a job as a support engineer after graduating, and that snowballed into having an actual career. Never let someone tell you that they got ahead in life purely off of hard work, it takes a lot of luck too
