Nyowdy! Welcome, I'm so glad you're here
- Q. Why do you feel it is necessary to have an FAQ page?
A. I think it would be fun :)
- Q. Gender and pronouns?
A. She/her. I'm non-binary I guess, but not in a way that really matters. I don't have a really awesome way to describe it, it's so vibe centric. For all intents and purposes, I'm totally fine with being a trans woman
- Q. Where else can I find you on the internet?
A. I'm honestly not meaningfully active in a way that results in actually matters on the internet. I mostly keep to myself and my friends. That said, you can find me a few places. I'm most active on my Tumblr account, nyowdypartner. I can also be found on my bluesky. If you want my cool, funny, and insightful opinions on video games, you can find me on Backloggd
- Q. Talk about baseball
A. That isn't a question, but I'm happy to respond :D. I love baseball, it's by far my favorite sport. When it's baseball season, it just becomes something I engage with most nights. Not necessarily actively every night, but I have a lot of fun putting it on while doing other stuff. My favorite active team is the Royals, but my favorite historic team is the Montreal Expos. I'm not Canadian, let alone French Canadian, and I've never even been to Montreal before. But something about that team just gets me. I want to own copious amounts of Expos merch.
- Q. What are your favorite games of all time?
A. You can find it on my Backloggd, but by and large my favorites are: the whole of the Mother series (EarthBound is my favorite!), various Dragon Quest games, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward and Shadowbringers, Kingdom Hearts 2, 3, and Birth by Sleep, Fallout: New Vegas, and Xenoblade Chronicles. I like plenty of others, but that's just a taste!
- Q. What are your preferred way to play video games?
A. For new stuff, I'm primarily PC and Switch 2. I have a decently powerful PC (nothing that special, though) and can play most PS5 games on it. Given where PC ports are at, it just makes the most sense. And as a resident Nintendo baby, I need to have my Switch 2 so I can see what's going on with Mario and Link.
For old stuff, I love playing on my Mister FPGA! My girlfriend got me into it, and I'm all the way in now. I love having something so accurate to play old games. Plus, it's such an exciting scene to keep up with, as there's constantly breakthroughs being made. It's so fun and exciting!
- Q. What are some of your favorite foods?
A. I like chicken tenders a lot. What an agreeable food, just nice chicken battered and fried. If I'm having chicken tenders, I'm having a good time. I also enjoy sub sandwiches, especially with spicy ham and salami. I love loading up veggies on it!.
- Q. How do you destress?
A. The most surefire way is to talk with my girlfriend! I love her so much and love being with her. Beyond that, I like to watch YouTube and play handheld games. I like playing on my Analogue Pocket a lot, but will also play on my Switch 2 and Steam Deck.
- Q. Android or iPhone?
A. I've switched back and forth, but at this point, I'm all in on Apple. I got an iPhone 4 back in the day (what a phone!) and used that for a while. I got a hand me down Galaxy S7 Active, the one that was strong enough to not need a case, and used that for many years. I eventually got an iPhone SE 2020, and used that for about 5 years. Now, I use an iPhone 16. I got $800 for night making it onto a flight, and used that to justify such a big purchase. I love Apple's software and ecosystem. I used a Mac in high school, and I got a Macbook Neo just recently! I think Apple makes good products, even if they're really expensive for what they are. This is a much longer answer than the question required, whoops!
- Q. Do you have any creative outlets?
A. Some! But I don't indulge them enough. I like writing a lot, but I don't do it enough. I like to muse on certain story concepts and worlds, and will write things down for it. I don't think I'll be writing a novel anytime soon, but it's still a lot of fun!
I'm not much of an artist at all, I struggle to manifest things that I visualize.
I guess this Neocities is a form of creative expression too!
